So I made a call today to Pure Workout which would be like a non traditional gym workout kick in the butt. Honestly it sounds like it's the kind of thing that I'm looking for, a non traditional workout with somebody kicking my ass the whole time to get going and get in shape. I figure if I could stick to this for 4 or 5 months then I'll be kicking ass by the end of this.
After I have done this for 3-4 weeks I think that I am going to start running too. Which will be nice considering I don't work right now. I had an interview with Goldman Sachs that I am hoping will pan out but until then I have all the time in the world to get going. I hope that if they do call me to get going that I won't start until September or October. I know that while looking online other people have got hired but they didn't start them for 5 months, I am kind of hoping to get working but being able top devote my time to this would be a good thing.
Anyway my appointment with them is tomorrow at 8 am so if I could get working out with them it would be a good thing.
Peace!

Day 0
Okay I figure that the best way to stay motivated to keep exercising to meet my goal is to start a blog so I can write what is going through my head everyday and really track my progress.
So back in January my little brother Andrew came to me and we both decided that it would be awesome to get in shape to run a marathon together. I think this is a GREAT idea, however, it seems that both of us have lost motivation, he may claim differently but he doesn't have the body of somebody that has been running 5 months, let alone 1 or 2.
Anyway my goal is that by my birthday at the latest that I am back down to 180 lbs, which would be great. A couple reasons why this would be good is that I would feel better and would have more self confidence and just overall would have a better appearance.
Last that I checked my weight I was 255 but could very well be heavier now so now to stay away from disease I need to turn my life around and get healthy. My dad recently had his doctor tell him that his diabetes has gotten so bad that he has to start taking insulin shots every time he eats, which freaks me out, therefore I need to make a major change and get healthy.
My Plan of Attack
1. I am going to run everyday, well 6 days a week, even if it's just for a mile. I am going to do it, I want running to be the basis of my health. I used to love running. In high school I was #4 varsity on the high school cross country team, I ran in state and I felt like I could do anything it was great!
2. I have an app on my phone that is a 100 push ups app that is supposed to help somebody do 100 push ups in 30 days. I am in such bad shape that I think if I could do 100 push ups a day after 2 months then it would be great.
3. I am going to be doing an ab workout everyday to work down my flabby stomach. In fact, I should probably be changing this number 3 to core workout, because in order to get a flat stomach you really need to be working out your back as well, or my WHOLE tire area. So I am going to be doing a lot of CORE workout.
I know all about over doing and the dangers of burning out, but I am hoping that this blog will keep me motivated enough to keep going.
Also I am going to have to adjust my diet, this week I have got the habit, again, of drinking soda. I am going to quit, again. Also I am going to quit candy altogether and replace my cravings for candy with fruit. There are
3500 calories in a pound of fat so I am going to be cutting back by eating smaller and more frequently.
I am hoping that I am able to lose 10-15 pounds a month which in 5 months would hopefully be enough to be almost to my goal of 180 pounds.
Either way, I don't know if I am going to pass this over to my family to read, or if I am just going to keep it personal but either way I am going to stay committed to it this time.
WISH ME LUCK!!!
